This Sunday night, Marco Verratti greatly concerned PSG fans. Just before the end of the first half of the 'Classique' against OM at the Stade Vélodrome, the Italian was injured after a blow to the hip by Mattéo Guendouzi. The pain being too intense, the PSG player was unable to continue the match and was forced to give way to Idrissa Gueye. After returning about a month ago from a knee injury, Marco Verratti could again miss some games with the Parisian club, even though PSG itself has yet to officially communicate about the player's injury.

Concerns are reportedly over the midfielder ahead of the second leg against RB Leipzig on Wednesday 3 November. However, the 28-year-old will be entitled to a little extra time to try and make a full recovery. In fact, Marco Verratti would have missed Lille's reception this Friday anyway, injured or not. The Italian is suspended due to the accumulation of yellow cards in Ligue 1 after the one received in the victory against Angers (2-1).

With that little extra recovery period, the midfielder could have a chance to be back in the Champions League squad in time, especially since he only has one goal in mind: to recover for the game against RB Leipzig. According to Le Parisien, Marco Verratti should increase the number of treatment sessions to be 100% ready for the trip to Germany. For now, it is still too early to say whether or not the PSG player will be on Mauricio Pochettino's squad on November 3, just over a week away.
